Market Rabbit Information




It is the time of year when we must place orders for market rabbits. Please read all of the information on this page so that you are fully aware of important dates and requirements for showing rabbits.

Ordering Information:

Market rabbits may be shown individually (single fryer) or as a pen of 3 (meat pen). For county show students are limited to 3 total entries in the market rabbit division. However, a student may not have more than 2 single fryer or 2 meat pen entries.

The cost for the rabbits is $50 each. Payment for the rabbits is due at the time the order is placed. If you would like to place an order for rabbits please print off, fill out, and return the "Rabbit Order Form" attached to the bottom of this page along with a check made out to GCFFA for your payment no later than November 1st to Ms. B.

Rabbits will be ready middle to end of January. Once the breeder contacts me with a delivery date I will send out communication to everyone who orders rabbits with the date and time rabbits need to be picked up.

Need to know information about market rabbits:

All rabbits must be kept at home. Unfortunately we do not have room in the Ag barn to house rabbits. Please see the attached document entitled "Market Rabbit Tips" for information on housing, feeding, etc.

All market rabbits will show at the Tarrant County Junior Livestock Show. Just like with any other school sport or competition students must be passing ALL of their classes to be eligible to show their rabbits.
