The Grapevine-Colleyville FFA Alumni is the official non-profit title for the FFA boosters club. The club is an accredited charitable organization with a 501-c3 tax exempt status and eligible for tax-deductible donations. We are a group of parent volunteers who may, or may not, have been in FFA in our own school years.  Previous experience definitely NOT required; just a willingness to help our and other students have a successful experience in raising animals for FFA shows and, ultimately, the Tarrant County Show where the animals are shown and sold.

What the FFA Alumni does:

FINANCIALLY SUPPORTS THE GRAPEVINE-COLLEYVILLE FFA IN THREE WAYS

  • Offset Cost of Projects

Just like the cost of any other sport or clubs, there's a financial commitment that goes along with the projects of the FFA - from raising an animal to landscaping and horticulture.  In order to offset some of those costs, the FFA Alumni hosts fundraisers throughout the year to help supplement the GCFFA budget.  Volunteers are always needed to help run the fundraisers that we hold throughout the year.  Dates and details of future fundraisers will be posted on this website.

  • Purchase Equipment and Supplies

The FFA Alumni work in tandem with the Advisors to purchase equipment and supplies not covered by the GCISD Agrisciences budget.

  • Offers Scholarships

FFA members in their Senior year are eligible to apply for scholarships for higher education. The scholarship amounts vary year to year, depending on the amount of money raised for the scholarship fund and the number of FFA members who apply.

FORGES NEW FRIENDSHIPS

  • Some FFA Alumni have had years of experience raising farm animals, while others have had none.  Supporting our students as they learn about the responsibilities involved in raising farm animals is our #1 goal, and meeting other parents along the way is a great bonus!  Because the FFA members see each other often at the GCISD Ag Barn (Grapevine High School campus), great friendships are built as well as a true sense of camaraderie and teamwork.  For FFA Alumni, helping our kids out and supporting others at shows is a lot of fun as we group together cheering on GCFFA members of all ages from all GCISD schools.
